Meet the Real Jesus

This Sunday I begin a new series throug the gospel of John, called Meet Jesus.  The particular focus for this week is the gloriousness of Jesus. The real Jesus of Scripture blows away the puny adaptations and cultural misrepresentations of Jesus that we see all around us. What’s more, the Jesus of Scripture is often not the Jesus that Christians think of, worship, and pray to. Rather Christians, as all people, often trade in the true Jesus for a plastic Jesus that makes us feel more comfortable. But this Sunday the folks at Bigelow Church are going to be challenged to Burn their plastic Jesus and cling to the true Jesus of Scripture!
