Check back next week for these posts and more:
1. A review of Holding Hands, Holding Hearts: Recovering a Biblical View of Christian Dating by Richard and Sharon Phillips
This was an okay work on the subject of Christian dating. There are many helpful guiding principles detailed in it and it has some appreciated nuances to it that help to steer young Christians away from extremes. I had, however, a few quibbles with it that made me initially disappointed with the approach of the work.
2. Studies in Proverbs: Introduction
Next week I will begin to explore the book of Proverbs with some explanation on the book itself, the role of ancient wisdom, and the approach I will take to my study of it this summer.
3. The Reformation Context (Part 9)
Having looked at the Late Medieval view of Scripture, we will turn brief attention to the Reformers’ views of the place of tradition.
4. Trauma and Union with Christ (Part 4)
We will conclude this short series next week by exploring a third dimension of our union with Christ and its unique therapeutic values: the metanarrative appropriation of our union with Christ.
