Check back next week for these posts and more:
1. A review of Hillbilly Elegy by J.D. Vance
This has been an absolutely fascinating read. I have laughed and cried while reading this lament of the cultural crisis among whites in Appalachia. In many ways Vance’s book explains a lot that has gone on in 2016 without ever actually specifically addressing it.
2. The Importance of Good Paperwork
Not all counseling necessarily needs paperwork, but formal counseling should really consider using it. I explain why in this post next week.
2. Expressing Emotion to Our Spouses
Being vulnerable is one of the most important aspects of our relationship and yet it is one of the most difficult things to do. Next week I’ll explore more of what it looks like to share our emotions in a healthy way.
3. Addiction and Emotions: Shame
Next week I’ll also continue this series exploring the diverse relationship between substance abuse and our emotional health. We’ll consider specifically, next week, the emotion of shame.
