September was a crazy month, it flew by and was plenty full. Still, there were few things that made the favorite things list for the month. So, here’s what did make the list for Things I Loved in September 2017:
1. Evenings around the fire with friends
I love Fall and cool evenings around the fire with friends is just one of the best activities of the season.
2. PSL
I look forward to this latte every year and its back!
3. Descriptions and Prescriptions: A Biblical Perspective on Psychiatric Diagnoses and Medications by Michael Emlet
This is probably the best book I’ve read this year. As a medical doctor, pastor, and Biblical Counselor Mike Emlet brings a unique look to the subject of diagnoses and medications. This book is phenomenal and should be required reading for every Biblical Counselor!
4. Deneweth’s Garden Center
Every Fall Deneweth’s a has a cute little Fall Festival, which includes pumpkin painting, a spooky wagon ride, a corn maze, and more. The kids enjoy it and we like to indulge in some cider donuts afterwards, so I love it. This year we had to be out of the house for a couple of hours due to home showings, so we spent the day at Deneweth’s and had a blast.
5. Bowling with the Ministry Staff
The ministry staff from CBC had a fun day of bowling this month. I was, of course, terrible, and Terry O’Brien was awesome. Still it was fun to do something different and build our friendships as a team. Shore Lanes Bowling was a nice place too.
