1. A Review of Strange Fire by John MacArthur
At one level I could hardly disagree with the content of this book since it serves as an expose on the worst abuses of the Pentecostal movement, especially targeting the Prosperity Gospel preachers. On the other hand, I was disappointed that MacArthur didn’t seem to engage with very many actual theological arguments from Charismatics and Continuationists.
2. The Gifts of the Spirit: Experiencing the Spirit (Part 1)
Next week we will turn to consider the New Testament’s presentation of experiencing the Spirit – leading us eventually to consider the topic of Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

4. On Experiential Avoidance: Practical Issues in Treatment
Having addressed two key conceptual issues in counseling those with Internal Avoidance, next week I will turn to consider some of the practical strategies that can be implemented in treatment.
