Not my usual reading, but I am enjoying some divergence from the norm this summer. I love jazz, so this seemed like a natural book for me to pick up. It’s a good work, but the author’s penchant for the pedantic continually dropped the story of jazz’s progression.

A wrong focus in spiritual growth will turn gospel-driven sanctification into legalism. Next week I’ll unpack this idea.
