1) How The Grinch Stole Christmas (Animated)
I love this classic cartoon. Plus Thurl Ravenscroft is awesome in “You’re A Mean One Mr. Grinch”!
2) The Nightmare Before Christmas
This is one of the most brilliant films. This isn’t your average Christmas movie and the music and character development in this film are great.
3) National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
This is every person’s bad holiday mishap wrapped into one movie and tied with a ribbon on it.
4) Mickey’s Christmas Carol
The Dicken’s work is a classic, I’ve always loved it. And of all the remakes this is one of my childhood favorites.
5) A Muppet Christmas Carol
This is another.
6) Die Hard
It’s totally a Christmas movie!!
7) A Christmas Story
I’ve seen it at least once a year for twenty years…and it still hasn’t gotten old.
8 ) Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation
A new addition to the list, this kids cartoon had me wrapped around its finger. The best joke is about figgy pudding.
9) Frosty the Snowman
My kids love it and it always brings back the nostalgia.
10) Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
With the exception of Tim Burton, good stop-motion-animation is a lost art.
11) Scrooged
Another take on the Dicken’s classic, this time a little more adult oriented.
12) Prep & Landing
The plot was a bit predictable but the concept was incredibly cute.
13) It’s A Wonderful Leaf
Darkwing Duck battles demented Christmas trees…what’s not to love about this.
14) A Charlie Brown Christmas
One of the few holiday specials that still talks about Jesus, and, I must confess, gives a pretty good sermon.
15) ELF
We all know it’s hilarious…it’s last because I hate admitting it (Will Ferrell is still mostly not funny).
