I am in the midst of some interesting research and so I am re-visiting one book that deal with postmodern theological methodology, and looking into another that attempts to develop the theme at a more popular level.
1) Beyond Foundationalism: Shaping Theology in a Postmodern Context by Stanley J. Grenz and John Franke
This is a classic treatment of the subject that favors a non-foundationalist position. I will have a review of it up next week.
2) The Character of Theology: An Introduction to Its Nature, Task, and Purpose by John Franke
This solo work of Franke’s is really a condensed and less erudite representation of the previous work with Grenz. It may be more accessible for some but I actually find it less helpful.
