Human Dignity in the Parking Lot

A new article I wrote was featured at Christ and Pop Culture yesterday. “Human Dignity in the Parking Lot” is a Christian reflection on the documentary The Parking Lot Movie, which highlights The Corner Lot in Charlottesville, VA. What fascinated me was that the documentary exposed how even the average, everyday person can treat people like scum of the earth, like worthless human beings. It is a funny and interesting movie, but those features which are prominent throughout remain the disturbing ease with which people deny dignity to their fellow human beings.
