Here’s what I’ll be writing on next week:
1. A review of Biblical Theology in the Life of the Church by Michael Lawrence
This is such a practical, accessible, and enjoyable book on how to do Biblical Theology. It has already served as a great supplement to the class I am teaching on Biblical Theology at our church.
2. Edwardsian Anxiety: Can We Still Learn From Edwards?
I have spent weeks now exposing some of the more frustrating, disappointing, and serious weaknesses in the life and thought of Jonathan Edwards. He bordered on legalism and indulged in racism. He was socially awkward and struggled with life-long doubt over his salvation. So can we still learn from Jonathan Edwards? I am going to answer yes next week and I hope if you’ve read the other pieces in this series you’ll join me for this one next week.
3. Inerrancy and Worldview: Modern Challenges to Inerrancy (Part 29)
Next week I’ll introduce us to the tension between modern psychology and the doctrine of inerrancy.
4. Women’s Ministry in the Life of the Church
This week we will look at some of the passages of Scripture used to dissuade us from believing that women should both study theology and instruct others on theology.
