Next Week

Don’t let the Holiday Season keep you from miss these posts and more next week at Pastor Dave Online:

1) A review of A Little Book for New Theologians by Kelly Kapic

This is such a wonderful and helpful little book that I think I am going to use it as a supplemental source in my Systematic Theology courses at Free Seminary.

2) A Theology of Sex: Jonathan, David, and Homosexuality

Next week we will take a closer look at the relationship of Jonathan and David from the Old Testament. Many have suggested that this relationship was one example of same-sex attraction affirmed in the Bible. We’ll try to analyze the text more closely to ascertain the validity of that suggestion.

3) Elect Exiles?: A Living Hope (Part 3)

We will consider next week how this living hope should play out in our obedience to Jesus daily.

4) The Forgotten Essentials of Doing Theology

Because I’ve been unable to get the feedback from the professional female theologians I needed to complete my series on Women and Theology (undoubtedly because these women are very busy) I will postpone that series. We will pick it up again when I have the material I want to use for it. In the meantime we’ll consider a series on the overlooked essentials of doing good theology.
