1) Hidden Treasures in the Book of Job by Hugh Ross
Ross is a brilliant scientist, and presumably a godly man…but not a very good exegete, in my opinion.
2) When I Don’t Desire God by John Piper
Reading through this great book for a counseling relationship and it is as helpful the third time through as it was the first. Piper’s most practical book
3) Questioning Evangelism by Randy Newman
This is the textbook I am using for my evangelism class with Free Seminary. I hope my students will find it as practically helpful as I have.
4) Barefoot Church by Brandon Hatmaker
Working through a review of this very compelling and insightful book. I look forward to being able to implement much of what I read.
5) God, Revelation, and Authority vol. 4 by Carl F. Henry
Volume four is most focused on the specific content and nature of Scripture. Henry’s style is easy and somewhat enjoyable…but this is still sometimes a dense read.
