Here’s what you can expect to read if you check back next week at Pastor Dave Online:

1. A review of Methland by Nick Redding

Redding does a good job of describing the impact of meth on rural America, which makes this book both insightful and utterly depressing. As one who pastored for years in rural American I have some understanding and appreciation for how drugs can reshape a community. There is much gospel ministry that needs to be done in these cities. I am praying today for those many countless laborers working in just such areas.

2. The “Heart” of the Atonement (Part 8): Appreciating the Kaleidoscope While Holding to the Center

Next week I will wrap up this series on the atonement by thinking through how we can hold to a center while also appreciating all the diversity of the atonement.

3. Developing Healthy Small Group Leaders

I will also wrap up my series on Small Groups next week by exploring the development of leaders.

4. Ask Pastor Dave: When Should My Kids Take Communion?

There are lots of answers given on this question, I will do my best to think through the relevant texts and discuss what I think is most Biblically reasonable.
