Looking for something to read? Well here are some articles from around the web that I have collected, perhaps you’ll see something here worth reading.
1) “Is Your Child A Christian” by Brian Croft
TGC ran this piece on helping parents assess whether the profession of faith made by their children is legitimate. Of course ultimately we can’t know for certain, but we do want to help our children not simply respond to the pressure or influence of their parents, but rather to believe themselves in the gospel.
2) “Just Obey” by Wendy Alsup
Often within Reformed circles there is a real resistance to teaching on righteousness and obedience. The emphasis on grace is extremely important, but the Bible is replete with calls and commands to obedience. Alsup offers us some help in correcting the tendency to diminish or downplay obedience in the Christian life. Though she writes for women, this piece is applicable to all!
3) “16 Ways To Dress Like A Grown Man” by Spencer Althouse
Yes. Gentlemen follow this, please!
4) “What Is Faith” by Ed Welch
Welch answers a common and important question. Helpfully he clarifies that faith is a “way of seeing” and the answer is ultimately connected to what or whom we have faith in.
5) “When Is A Royal Baby a Fetus?” by Owen Strachan

6) “10 Ways Your Spouses Sexual Sin Effects You” by Brad Hambrick
No sin is isolated from those around us. Sexual sin in particular has an impact on many others in our lives. Here counselor Brad Hambrick outlines the ways in which sexual sin specifically affects spouses. So important for all involved to read.
7) “Predators in the Pew: Protecting Against Child Abuse In Your Church” by Deepak Reju
Speaking of the ways in which sin hurts more than just the sinner, Reju writes here about the reality of child abuse in the church and practically what we can do to help prevent it from happening in our congregations. Pastors and lay members should read this piece, and more importantly, they should think on this subject.
8) I am continuing my theological man crush on Gregory Alan Thornbury this week with two great articles one zeroing in on his presidency and one written by him on the rebirth of Christian higher education.
