Here are the upcoming posts for next week at Pastor Dave Online:
1) A review of The Geography of Nowhere by James Howard Kunstler
This 1993 book about the rise and decline of America’s man-made landscapes looked interesting and has been. Other than Kunstler’s ignorant suggestion that no art or literature existed before the 19th century, I’ve rather enjoyed this inside look at the weaknesses and failures of urban development.
2) A Theology of Sex: Defining Sexual Sin
Sexual sin is any form of sex which does not form to the Biblical norm of marital romantic love. This means that even though Christians have lots of targets with their sexual sin sermons, etc., there are a host of related issues that we must file under the category of sexual sins.
3) A Theology of Sex: Defining Lust
While we often talk about the impurity of lust it helps if we know what we’re talking about. What exactly is lust and how do we identify it? It’s at the root of lots of sexual sins, so it’s best that we approach this subject carefully, thoughtfully, and thoroughly
4) A Theology for Hipsters (Part 35): A Theology of Culture (Part 2)
This week we return to one of my favorite series with a discussion of “what is culture?”
