Christ and Pop Culture invited me to write a guest post on my frustration with Mark Driscoll. I have loved, and still do to some degree, the ministry of Mark Driscoll. I’ve learned a great deal from him and found many of his insights and critques of the modern church invaluable. Yet, his pattern of arrogance and overstatement have frustrated me to no-end as of late. In the article at CAPC I’ve tried to be balanced, fair, and gracious. But I have also tried to expose the repeated public examples of Driscoll’s arrogance, and urge him, in light of this, to repent. You can read the whole thing here. I hate writing articles like this…but sometimes they are necessary.
