Next Week

Here’s what you can anticipate next week at Pastor Dave Online:

1) A review of The Evolution of Adam by Peter Enns

Generally I liked John Walton’s book better. I liked Enns overall point, but the means that he uses to get there is questionable at best.

2) Cutting and Covenant: A Christological Look At The Abrahamic Covenant

I was deeply struck this week by the reality that the way in which God makes a covenant with Abraham points us forward to the very heart of the gospel.

3) Better Than Wonderbread: Notes from my lecture on Jesus’ Feeding of the Five Thousand

This week I was a guest speaker at our local University’s student Christian organization, 9th Hour. I always like to post my notes from these events in case people wanted to revisit something that was said. So I will be posting my notes here.

4) A Theology for Hipsters (Part 29): Keeping the Fundamentals (Part 8)

I will continue this week by looking at the possible dangers of individualism. I don’t take the hard stance that McCracken does on this subject, by neither am I as liberal with my praise of individualism as hipsters in general are.
