As 2012 starts I will be recapping my favorite books and music from 2011 and looking ahead to what most excites me in 2012. So here’s what’s coming up next week at Pastor Dave Online:
1) Best books of 2011
I read an average of 50 books a year and while most of them were not published in 2011, among those that were I found a number of great reads. This was a hard decision but ultimately I came down on my five favorites. My list may surprise some.
2) Best music of 2011
I am as crazy about music as I am about books and this was a great year of musical discovery for me. I knew easily what my number one pick was going to be, but it’s been a difficult choice to pick the rest of my list.
3) Forecasting 2012
Every year brings new and exciting opportunities and 2012 looks to be no different. My roles at Revolution and with Free Seminary are opening up some exciting new frontiers for me, and my personal study looks to be a good bit out of my comfort zone, which I need. See what’s happening here at Pastor Dave Online and what books and other things I am looking forward to in 2012.
4) A Theology for Hipsters (Part 27): Keeping the Fundamentals (Part 6)
The series continues and we are still examining ways in which Christian Hipsters might be tempted to abandon the fundamentals of the faith. This week we will be particularly looking at the issue of inclusivism.
