Here’s what’s coming next week at Pastor Dave Online:
1) A Review of Tangible Kingdom by Hugh Halter and Matt Smay
This is the book our leadership team is working through. It’s a great introduction to missional living if you’re not familiar with it. Other than a few really obnoxious statements that seem more like theological points gone astray than intentional comments, I have really enjoyed reading their story and learning from these authors.
2) The Doctrine of Revelation: The Storyline of Scripture (Part 17)
We have arrived at what is easily the most climactic part of the whole storyline of Scripture: the death of the Son of God. Jesus death is not some cosmic accident it is a fulfillment of God’s story.
3) Martin Luther Is My Homeboy: The Life of Luther (Part 5)
Luther’s battle with the church is at times comical and at times awful, but were it not for his faithfulness to the Word of God and to the one true church many of us would not be where we are today.
4) A Theology for Hipsters (Part 23): Keeping the Fundamentals (Part 2)
This week we will touch on the dangerous theological developments in the area of Post-Foundational theology. Hipsters are drawn to concepts like this, but I want to warn them to guard their hearts and minds against some aspects of it.
Also check back for next weeks Hipster Christmas Carol and more asides.
